:: Who is it for?

“The Cross-Referenced Patent Cooperation Treaty” is intended as an aid to practicing patent attorneys and trainees, enabling them to quickly identify and locate items relating to a particular article or rule. It will also be useful for students preparing for the European Qualifying Examination.

Students preparing for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) are referred to: www.htelpublisher.com for information about the book The Annotated European Patent Convention by Derk Visser.
The Annotated EPC gives the text of the European Patent Convention (EPC) and its Implementing Regulations. The notes provide a commentary on the text of the law and explain the interpretation of each paragraph of the law. Cross-references in the notes to Articles and Rules give insight into the structure of the EPC. References to case law and the Guidelines for Examination in the EPO allow the user to consult the source of the information contained in the notes and give a quick access to important case law.
The Annotated EPC also contains a chapter on the Patent Cooperation Treaty, which gives an overview of the PCT procedure including the relations with the EPC.

In addition, students preparing for the EQE are referred to: www.hoekstradoc.nl for information about the book References to the European Patent Convention compiled by Jelle Hoekstra.
The set of two paperback books includes the full text of the EPC: the Articles are listed in sequence with the Rules inserted at the appropriate places. The Guidelines for Examination in the EPO, the Ancillary Regulations to the EPC as well as selected decisions of the Boards of Appeal are covered.

In addition, students sitting the EQE may like to visit: www.deltapatents.com for details of courses.
